Capacity Obligation by Auction

This dataset includes the historic monthly CM auction Capacity Obligation and actual Capacity Payments for a delivery year which covers the period from October to September. It also includes the CM units which are suspended following failure to complete Satisfactory Performance Day and Extended Performance tests.

Note: Capacity Obligation and Capacity Payments for a Delivery Year can also be delayed and lost through failure to complete New Build CMU milestones and/or through termination (either prior to DY start, or during the DY) which is not presented in this dataset.

Dataset can be filtered based on Auction and Delivery Year. ( For example, the "2019/20 Delivery Year" will run from 1 October 2019 to 30 September 2020)

This dataset is updated daily.

Unique identifier for a Capacity Auction e.g.: TR-2016, T-1-2017, TR-2017, T-1-2018, T-4-2018
Capacity Obligation (MW)

CMUs which have secured a Capacity Agreement at an Auction must deliver against their Capacity Obligation at any time of system stress during the Delivery Year, or face a financial penalty
Capacity Payment (£)

Monthly payment to a Capacity Provider in relation to a capacity obligation
Capacity Payment Suspension Flag

Flag which determines if a CM unit is suspended or not
Delivery Year

The Delivery Year runs from 1 October to 30 September
