Settlement Costs Levy

This dataset includes the actual, forecast, and excess Settlement Costs Levy for the current and historic operational periods.

The operational costs of Electricity Settlements Company (ESC) are funded by suppliers through the Capacity Market Settlement Costs Levy, which is invoiced monthly based on a supplier’s share of net demand for periods of high demand in the previous financial year multiplied by the total operational costs. Any excess amount will be refunded to Suppliers using a payment share based on the amount of Settlement Costs Levy Payments paid in the Financial Year.

This dataset is updated following the end of each financial year.
